We have already explored hiking, biking, boating, camping, fishing, horseback riding and golf on those individual pages of this website.  This page gives you information on  other great summer sports activities like water sports,  off road riding, disc golf, geocaching, baseball, roller hockey, basketball, skate boarding, volleyball, tennis and  shooting ranges.
All Terrain Vehicles 
ATV or OHV (off highway vehicles) can ride designated trails in North Idaho.  The Lake Darling trail is 2.5 miles each way up to Lake Darling.  Take Highway 200 east from Sandpoint 12 miles to Trestle Creek Road 275, then left  for 16 miles to Lightning Creek Road 419 then left for one mile to the trailhead.

Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Volleyball 
Pine Street Park in Sandpoint has 2 basketball courts and a softball field.  Take Highway 2 west to Lake Street then right to the park across from City Hall.

Memorial Field and Lakeview Park at 801 Ontario in Sandpoint offer a baseball diamond and soccer field where the local teams play.  Lakeview Park next door has a tennis court, basketball court and roller hockey rink.

Sandpoint City Beach has tennis courts, a basketball court, sand volleyball courts, and horse shoe pits.  From 1st Avenue in downtown Sandpoint turn right onto Bridge Street to City Beach. 

Travers Park at 2102 Pine Street has baseball, softball, soccer and football fields, tennis courts and the Concrete Lake Skatepark. Take Highway 2 to Pine Street then go west for about one mile to the park.

Disc Golf
Farragut State Park has a 18 hole disc golf course at the Locust Grove Picnic area.  Maps are available at the visitor center 13550 E. Highway 54, 5 miles east of Athol.  Athol is 25 miles south of Sandpoint on Highway 95.

Shooting Ranges
Sandpoint's Outdoor Shooting Range has 14 covered lanes in a fenced area.  Take Cedar Street west to Boyer, then right to Baldy Mountain Road, then left for 4 miles to the end of the pavement, then right to the range.  208-263-3528

Farragut State Park Shooting Range is located on the northwest corner of the park.  The visitor center has maps at 13550 Highway 54. Take Highway 95 south of Sandpoint about 25 miles to Athol then east 5 miles on Highway 54 to the visitor center at Farragut.

Water Sports

Water skiing, jet skiing, parasailing and sailing can be done on Lake Pend Oreille, the Pend Oreille River, Priest Lake and other smaller bodies of water.
