Winter Sports
Must love winter, and if you don't, you will, because it is so beautiful. The snow lying on the mountains accentuates and adds to their drama. The mist rising from the lake makes you feel like perhaps you have reached Avalon. Come play in our paradise on earth, it will get to you.
Schweitzer Mountain Ski Resort
We are so lucky here, and we know it, to not only be on the shores of Idaho's largest lake but have a ski area ranked among the top 25 ski areas in North America. Schweitzer just gets better every year with new additions like this years new quad chair lift. The annual average snowfall of 300" guarantees powder bowl skiing. Schweitzer also has a trail system for cross country skiers, a tubing hill, a terrain park with jumps and rails and events all winter and summer long.
